To provide you with a safe and comfortable environment and DECREASE THE AMOUNT OF CONTACT TO A MINIMUM LEVEL, the following safety protocols will be enforced:
Phase One Office Re-opening: starting the week of June 8th, 2020, all primary care patients with urgent health issues will be seen and those with chronic health problems that were seen via Telemedicine will be scheduled for office visits.
Phase Two Office Re-opening: Phase one services will continue including the following:
- Primary care patients with symptoms and concerns that are either urgent or non-urgent will continue to be seen in the office.
Phase Three Office Re-opening: Phase one and two services plus resuming all other elective and non-urgent appointments, including routine annual wellness checks, weight loss programs, DOT physicals, etc.
*Telemedicine will continue during phase one, two and three for ALL non-urgent appointments*
Pre-Appointment:
- Advanced Appointment: Patients are encouraged to call to make appointments. Appointments made online (https://act4healthyfuture.com) will be confirmed with a phone call.
- Pre-Appointment Health Questionnaire: All patients will be asked screening health questions at the time of making appointments via phone or during the confirmation of their appointments.
Appointment Day:
- In-Your-Car Waiting: When you arrive for your appointment, please call, or send a text to 301-679-5770. Once we are ready to see you, you will get either a call or text to walk up or take the elevator (Elevator rule is 2 people at a time).
- Limitations on Companions: Only patients with appointments and one guardian (if necessary for your appointment) are allowed in the office. Other companions will need to remain in the car during patient 's appointments.
- Mask Requirements: All patients are required to wear a mask/face cover as they enter the building and our office. Please only take off your mask / face cover when you are asked to by one of the clinical team members.
- No Gloves: Please remove your gloves and dispose properly before you enter the office.
- Hand Sanitizer: As soon as you enter our office, you will be given hand sanitizer to clean your hands, provided in the waiting room area.
- Temperature Checks: All patients are checked for fever with our infrared/ touchless thermometer upon entry into the waiting room area.
- Straight to the Office: Once you arrive in the waiting room, you will be immediately escorted to the office where you will be seen.
- Office Appoinment Protocols: Each appointment is given an extra 20-30 minutes to permit proper disinfection. If you need to make future appointments, it will be made after you have been seen in the office or can be done by phone, email, or text after you leave the office.
- Writing Pen: If using a pen is necessary in the office, we will give you a clean disinfected pen for office use.
- Ipad: If you need to use the office Ipad, you will be given a clean one and it will be immediately cleaned after your use with disinfectant wipes.
Our Team:
- Daily health assessment and temperature check of team members at the beginning of the day.
- Full personal protective equipment (PPE) for every clinical team member.
- Mask is always worn by team members.
- Ongoing training on OSHA and infection control protocol and close monitoring for compliance.
Office:
- Continue to perform the highest standard of infection control and sterilization according to CDC and OSHA guidelines.
- On going and thorough disinfection of ALL surfaces in the office.
- Air purifiers with HEPA filters and UV-C sanitizers are installed in the office where you will be seen.
