COVID19 OFFICE PRECAUTIONS

What We Are Doing to Keep Everyone Safe:

To provide you with a safe and comfortable environment and DECREASE  THE AMOUNT OF CONTACT TO A MINIMUM LEVEL, the following safety protocols will be enforced:

Currently we are seeing all primary care patients with urgent health issues in the office and Telehealth services are still offered for minor health concerns.

  • Primary care patients with symptoms and concerns that are urgent will be seen in the office
  • Telehealth services are offered for non-urgent health concerns

Pre-Appointment:

  • Advanced Appointment: Patients are encouraged to make an appointment online. Appointments can be made online (https://act4healthyfuture.com). You can also call 301-679-5770 to make appointments.

  • Pre-Appointment Health Questionnaire: All patients will be asked screening health questions at the time of  making appointments via phone and prior to their appointments by completing a COVID19 questionnaire.

Appointment Day:

  • In-Your-Car Waiting: When you arrive for your appointment, please call: 301-679-5770. Once we are ready to see you, you will be called to walk up or take the elevator.

  • Limitations on Companions: Only patients with  appointments and one guardian (if necessary for your appointment) are allowed in the office. Other companions will need to remain in the car during patient 's appointments.

  • Mask  Requirements: All patients are required to wear a mask/face cover as they enter the building and our office.  Please only take off your mask/face cover when you are  asked to by one of the clinical team members.

  • No Gloves: Please remove your gloves and dispose properly before you enter the office.

  • Hand  Sanitizer: As soon as you enter our office, you will be given hand sanitizer to clean your hands, provided in the waiting room area.

  • Temperature Checks: All patients are checked for fever with our infrared/ touchless thermometer upon entry into the waiting room area.

  • Straight to the Office: Once you arrive in the waiting room, you will be immediately escorted to the office where you will be seen.

  • Office Appointment Protocols: Each appointment is given extra time to permit proper disinfection. If you need to make future appointments, it will be made after you have been seen in the office or can be done by phone, email, or text after you leave the office.

  • Writing Pen: If using a pen is necessary in the office, we will give you a clean disinfected pen for office use.

  • iPad: If you need to use the office iPad, you will be given a clean one and it will be immediately cleaned after your use with disinfectant wipes.

Our Team:

  • Daily  health assessment and temperature check of team members at the  beginning of the day.

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) for every clinical team member.

  • Mask is always worn by team members.

  • Ongoing training on OSHA and infection control protocol and close monitoring for compliance.

Office:

  • Continue to perform the highest standard of infection control and sterilization according to CDC and OSHA guidelines.

  • On going and thorough disinfection of ALL surfaces in the office.

  • Air purifiers with HEPA filters and UV-C sanitizers are placed in the office where you will be seen.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult time. We are here to address any concerns and/or questions you may have. Everyone's health and safety is our priority. I look forward to seeing everyone again, though we have to adhere to CDC guidelines on social distancing and decreasing the time you spend in our office.

Warmest regards,

Dr. Mary Boateng, DNP, FNP-BC
