VETERANS EVALUATION SERVICES
Veterans Evaluation Services is a program that provides independent medical evaluations for veterans filing disability claims with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This evaluation is critical for determining eligibility for benefits and ensuring veterans receive the support they need for service-connected conditions.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR VISIT: Our provider will perform the following tasks:
- review the veteran's medical and service history.
- Conduct comprehensive physical or mental health examinations.
- Assess and document symptoms related to claimed conditions.
- Perform diagnostic tests or screenings, if required.
- Submit detailed reports to the VA to support the claims process.
DOT Certification
A required physical exam prior to operating a commercial vehicle. Also referred as a “medical fitness for duty” examination, to ensure that each driver is capable and healthy enough to successfully complete the duties of a commercial driver. Our Medical Examiner follows the health standards are determined by the FMCSA. In order to comply with federal law, your DOT physical exam form must be completed by a qualified Medical Examiner.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR VISIT:
- Vital Signs such as blood pressure, heart rate; weight, height, body mass index (BMI)
- Urine Dipstick to check for glucose, blood, proteins, etc.
- Vision Test
- Hearing Test
- Physical Exam (such as checking you for general appearance, inspecting ears, eyes, mouth, throat; listening to you heart, lungs, bowels; checking for spine abnormalities, perform neurological exam, abdominal exam, checking for hernias and noting any abnormalities).
- If you meet the standards and do not need frequent medical monitoring, you will be granted a certification that will be valid for two years.
- In certain circumstances, the medical examiner will issue a certificate lesser than two years such as three months, six months or one year. Reasons and/or questions regarding lesser certification time will be clearly explained to you on your appointment.
